Council Approves Second Cannabis Dispensary

New location for Bloomington’s second cannabis dispensary

City Council approved a request for a new cannabis dispensary. The new dispensary will be located in a vacant building at 1006 JC Parkway on the West Side of Bloomington in front of Walmart.

The dispensary will generate $300,000 in annual tax revenue for the City and generate twenty jobs. Bloomington is only allowed two permits for the sale of recreational cannabis per the Bloomington zoning ordinance. This dispensary is the second of the two allowable permits.
