In April, Moody’s Investors Service assigned a positive credit outlook to the City of Bloomington, stating “The local economy is showing signs of growth with investment from a number of the area’s largest employers and new sales tax revenue will continue to strengthen the city’s financial position.”

Businesses continue to invest in all areas of the city. Examples this month include:

  • West Side: A new QuikTrip will be locating on Wylie Drive. This company is on the Forbes list of “Best Companies for Work For.”

  • East side: Egg Republic will be opening a new breakfast restaurant off of Hershey Drive.

  • Downtown: A local developer will be redeveloping the CII East Building into eight apartment units and 4 short term rental units. The building will also have retail and commercial space on the ground floor.
